Blah and overwhelmed ,

I don't know where to start, just feeling kinda down and needed a vent so feel free to skip over hah! Lately I have just felt super overwhelmed at home. With the house, dh, the twins and a 2 year old! Dd goes to preschool during the day and she loves that! Plus that means I only have the twins during the day until I go into work which is at 2pm so in that short time till I go to work I get the twins up feed them breakfast play with them, feed them, chase them and stop them from tearing up everything in our house! They are everywhere I remove one from a area they shouldn't play and here comes the other one! I swear they are plotting against me haha! I try to clean as much of the house as I can before I know dh will be home, and sometimes when dh comes in he will look around and say "what did you do all day?" I'm sorry really what was I doing all day????? I could slap him! He is in night class three nights out the week so he isn't home as much and I am doing so much by myself! I'm just feeling like a chicken with no head haha! Restless! By the time I sit or Kay down and get comfortable somebody is crying/needing something! Idh helps but when it comes to night time I do it all baths for all3 kids, bedtime an bottles for the twins dressing them all in pjs and everything then I go clean the kitchen up from supper while he does some office work on the computer! I'm like really! I don't like asking him to help because I sometimes feel like I shouldn't have to! I'm exhausted and run ragged!

It sounds like you need help mama! Would DH be receptive if you sat him down and had a conversation with him about what you need? I get exhausted chasing after my 7 month old all day and keeping up with the house, I can't imagine how exhausted you must be! I hope that you can catch a break soon!

Thanks! Dh would listen im sure he is a awesome dad but I guess because I'm just doing everything he doesn't see the point in trying to help out. Or he just doesn't see how stressed I am,

Sometimes men need a nudge (or hard shove in cases) in the right direction! I think that as women, we just expect them to know what we need or at least be sensitive enough to ask. I have to tell my DH when I need help or else he'll just happily live in a world where I can handle it all. Men; can't live with them and you can't shoot them!

totally agree with Beth, you really need to spell it out to husbands, and generally there are oblivious to what is going on around them, as my DH says, "tell me what it is we want and we can both be happy" lol

ask for help, it's better than stressing alone

make him have all three by himself, leave for the day and ask him what he's done when you return! I would..... totally! Can't beat first hand experience..
