Car seat issues!!!!
We moved Zack from the carrier carseat that came with his stroller to the bigger one's we had that up to 65lbs and I am having major issues with him when he's in it. We moved him cause he is getting kinda big for the carrier and he seemed uncomfortable but.....
First, he gets SOOOOOOOOOOOOO freaking sweaty when he's in it that no matter how high we crank the AC in the car his clothes are drenched.
Second, he has this tendency to try to sit himself up while he's in it. We have it in the farthest recline position but he is still pretty upright and still he forces himself foward and then ends up falling asleep with his head dangling at all these cockeyed positions. We tried putting one of those head support things in to keep him from lifting his head like that and it still doesnt work. Plus it made him sweat even more.
Anyone have any suggestions for this? DH took the new car seat out of his car and put the snugride/carrier base back in and has been using that for Zack when he takes him out.

Maybe stick with the infant carrier? You have it set to the highest(or longest I guess) position? We kept our son in our infant seat until he was about 11 months old. Though we really should have moved him to a convertable seat when he was like 10 months but I didn't know about them lol.

i have the same problems with the a/c and the sweating thing and i have problems with her falling asleep with her head in crazy postions dont know what to do about the crazy positions but about the a/c i bought a clip on fan that plugs into the cigarette outlet and i clipped the fan above her head on the top of the car seat...seems to help

Jonah just started trying to sit forward at about the exact same age...I think it is a stage in their development tho and not really much you can do short of sewing an elastic head band to your carseat! Only joking I'm sure that is a choking hazard and seriously don't recommend it...but they are both problems for us as well...I wonder if they make a vented cushion that you could put in the seat so that air circulates behind them...Ooooh and if they don't I just came up with a million dollar idea.

If you are concerned about the safety and comfort factor, I know there are several places you can actually go to have your carseat and it size and position looked at and they will tell you if you need something else or help you fix what the problem is. It may be worth a shot.

Oh man!! I'm not sure what to say about that. Did you move the straps on your snugride carrier to the highest top position? Eli outgrew the lower strap level on his snugride a few weeks ago so I had to move it up and it's definitely helped. I'm sure you already did that, but gosh! You've got a growing boy on your hands!! I think I'm going to have to revisit this thread for answers in a few more weeks since Eli is growing like a weed! LOL

He seams a little young to be in a big ca seat.
Hope you can get it sorted and he is comfy soon.
