Back to Josh though - he's a healthy little boy, I really don't think you've got anything to worry about. He has plenty of energy, he developing normally, he's a good height and doesn't look too skinny or poorly at all. He is quite petite, but he's all in proportion - I think he's just got a small appetite. Adults are the same; some eat loads and you can't fill them (Ryan) and others pick at a few morsals a day (my sister), but are still healthy!
Do you offer him healthy regular snacks, i.e. fruit, yogurt etc? Some kids need to eat little and often, Tom does. I know some parents take the stance of 'If you don't eat your dinner, you get nothing else', but that wouldn't work for Tom. He likes to eat a few mouthfuls every few hours and this just keeps his metabolism going. He goes banzai if you give him a huge plate of food and he won't even try it. If I give him a small portion at meal time and regular healthy snacks, he eats much better, although still not what I think is enough! Kids are a constant worry - Hollie NEVER stops asking for food, seriously. I think she has worms or something, and although she's lovely and slim at the moment, I am worried she's going to end up overweight if she keeps eating like she is at the minute... as parents, we are never satisfied are we! But honestly, I think Josh is fine, so try not to worry. x
