teddy,??

ok so axle has slept in a woombie pretty much since birth, either a woombie or a wrap during the day, i am slowly trying to wean this so once it starts to warm up he is unwrapped, i have started this week putting him to sleep unwrapped, its hard work and takes a while for him to settle, as he really doesnt know what to do with his hands, but i have a little cuddle teddy which he seems to hold onto and settle,do you think he is too young to sleep with something like this, should i keep all items out of the cot still?? he can grab objects now ect, but i put him to sleep with it tonight and now i wanna go take it out and check on him as i dont know if he is old enough yet?? what age did you give your baby something for security?? im off to take it out now untill i get feedback thanks ..

oh BTW its one of those teddy heads with the little blanket on the end.

I dont know. Things like that make me completely nervous. Kalyee has this little piggy, not very big at all, and sometimes she will fall asleep after shes been playing and will be cuddled up with that piggy. I always end up taking it from her, bc im just paranoid. Hubby tells me to calm down she isnt a newborn anymore....

I think it's whatever you are comfortable with. I mean I think technically you aren't supposed to put anything in there until they are like 6 or 9 months. But maybe let him sleep with it and then take it away before you go to bed

Lily had her Lammy from being about 4 weeks. 12x12 blanket thing with a head on it. She got so attached we bought another 6 of them in case she ever lost it. She still carries it everywhere.

Same thing but a frog head on it. Right now I give him the teeny weeny spit rags and he snuggles with those. He likes to feel it on his face. I will give him his frog thing in a few weeks.

Kyra has her dummy,and likes to grab the blanket and hold it by her face so same diff really. I bought one of those same kinds of toys but she doesn't seem that interested in it. I wouldnt worry about it you can always let her go to sleep with it and take it away once he's asleep.

Mine never had a snuggle thing that young,so maybe do as the other ladies have said just slip it away once he falls asleep if your worried

see the prob with sneaking in to take it away like i did last night was, he is such a light sleep, he woke up from me just opening the door, but he did settle once i gave his dummy back, and he slept, teill 12 unwrapped yay, then had a feed and slept till 3 am had a feed and is now still asleep and its almost 8, paul (DP) said he prob hated being wrapped lol, thats why he wakes so much, ive grown quite attached to the woombie, i bought 4 of them lol, but i want him to be able to wake up and play and move once awake, and the woombie didnt allow that!! fingers crossed for tonight :), he is a side sleeper as well this also worrys me with him falling asleep with the teddy, so i guess i will steal it once he is asleep, thanks girls
