Thread: when can we find out the sex?

I think it depends on your doc. My doc wouldnt do a gender scan until 18wks but some of the other girls on here have had their scans as early as 16wks.

I found out at 18 weeks!

I think it all depends on your doctor. I found out at 15 weeks because I had to go into the ER...they were right as far as the sex. My regular OB does the anatomy ultrasound between 18-20 weeks.

I think it's possible around 15/16 weeks but I found out at 20 weeks because that was when my u/s was.

I'm not sure of the earliest you can find out but I'm booked in for the scan in 2 more days - so excited. I'll be just under 20 weeks

I found out at a little over 17 weeks.I know you can find out as early as 13 weeks with a good tech.

The tech at my OB's office (who's done like millions of scans and has been doing this forever) told me at 12 weeks that she was 95% sure it was a girl. Now that is really really early and not really common to find out that early, but a skilled tech and good equipment can sometimes be the deciding factor.
I had a follow up scan at 16 weeks and she was 100% she was a girl.

And she was right, I had two more U/S and she is a girl! :-D
