    Default After everything

I have been through I never thought I would open my mouth to complain, but I am carrying baby SO low that my sciatica nerves on both sides are hurting me SO bad! I am sitting here crying as I type because I am in SO much pain. I have not said a lot about it b/c I dont want to complain, but it's terrible! It hurts to walk, to sit, to lay. My blood sugar has been high the past few mornings b/c I am not sleeping at night and that affects your blood sugar. What have I done? I am going to the chiropractor, have used heating pads, warm baths, stretching exercises....you name it. I have a call in to a prenatal massage therapist and am hoping I can get in to see her today if at all possible. My dh thinks the chiropractor is making things worse. I just don't know. Anyway sorry for rambling. If anyone has any other advice feel free to share! Thanks for listening

Awww hun. I had terrible sciatica with Helix. There's some stretches that are supposed to help. Do you have any way you can feel comfortable in bed? Like aligning pillows to make yourself comfortable enough to sleep. Can you stretch to make it feel better? When I stretched it would help for like anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour. Sometimes long enough to get to sleep. :D

stretching helps some but not for very long. I toss and turn all night bc it hurts on BOTH sides. Im so scared bc I know its only going to get worse as baby gets bigger.

I've only ever had bad luck with a chiropractor, so I would say it could possibly be that making it worse (well, other than pregnancy of course). I had a sore back for a month and went to the chiropractor, it ended up with still a sore back but pain in my leg, which would sometimes go numb unless I sat down.

I hope that you can find something that works. I used to get horrid hip pain with my second pregnancy, and trying to sleep was horrendous. I would sometimes have to go on my knees, bent over a bunch of pillows, and go to sleep like that for awhile.

Its okay Cass...we all know how much you wanted this baby - but pain is pain, even if its surrounded with joy. I had ALOT of intense pains with Joshua on my nerve because he was so big. It also mimics how being a mom feels after the baby is here......you are ecstatic at having your children but sometimes you have to complain over stuff - like how exhausting it is. All above and beyond worth it, but still true.

I don't know what would help you...I did alot of "cat pose" (yoga) but not sure if it helped much. I hope you find some relief of it - even if its for a few hours each day...some time to power up your tolerance of it.

"A baby will make love stronger, days shorter, nights longer, bank account smaller, home happier, clothes shabbier, the past forgotten, and the future worth living for"
