Thread: 35 week check up

Hey Girls,

I had my 35 week appt today. He has me coming weekly at this point since I was 33 weeks, because of the size of baby. I am measuring 3 weeks early. So measuring at 38 weeks.

I'm a little disappointed, he seemed to forget EVERYTHING that we talked about last week. He told me last Thursday that he wanted Friday to be my last day, and that he would be deciding the date for which I would be induced. So of course, I get in there, and he has no recollection. Talks about how large my belly is, does the group B strep test, and gives me an antibiotic for my cough... saying that he thinks I have bronchitis. So right when he goes to walk out the door, I say "umm, last week you told me that you wanted tomorrow to be my last day, and that I was to fill out paperwork with you today?" So he opens my chart, and says " Oh yea, I'll have the girls give you the paperwork...." Okaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy...

I'm a real quiet person and I hate to be pushy, but my Mom kept pushing me to ask him about the induction, so when I came out of the room and he was giving me my prescription, I asked him " You said last week that you wanted to induce me? Any idea of when that would be happening?" And he responds " Probably about a week or week and a half before your due date"

Are you kidding me??? He's taking me off of work today, and now I have to wait for 3 weeks almost, which cuts into my maternity leave and cutting my time short with Kason. I'm so bummed. He did say, "well then again you are measuring 3 weeks ahead, so in 2 weeks you'll be at 40 weeks, and we'll see then how I feel".

I'm not feeling to well about this appointment today. He's normally the sweetest coolest doctor you could ever ask for, maybe he's just having a bad day
