Full term is 37 weeks so you probally measured 37 weeks or more.. I measured right on until the end and i had a huge baby but i have heard it the other way around also. If your baby is big at least its one healthy baby.
Hi all
I saw the MW yesterday and she said Bam Bam's head is well in my pelvis, fully engaged! She then proceeded to measure me and said "Oh, and your measuring full term". Now i am only 36+1 so how can i measure full term? Does it mean it a big baby?
At 27 weeks i measures 28, at 30 weeks i measure 31 and at 34 i measured 35 but all of a sudden from my last visit two weeks ago (and the head at that appt being 5/2ths enagaged) i have shot up to full term and fully engaged.
I understand it can be engaged and i can still be 2 weeks late, but to measure full term surely i can't grown anymore lol :O)
To top it i had the worlds worst sleep last night, went to bed at 10.30 and slept awkwardly till 12.30 and was wide awake till 6.30 this morn when i got up for work. Was even in the back garden at 2.00 as the back gate had come open (must not have bolt on properly when i put the bin back) and was banging like crazy. I just had the worst backache and hip/pelvis ache. Until last night i have slept like a log only gettign up for the loo, but i suppose it had to happen sometime.

Did your midwife say that you are carrying a big baby? I had my antenatal yesterday and measured 37cms.
Not long now, good luck![]()

My World
I was there not long ago. At 35 weeks I was measuring 41 weeks. I was sent for an ultrasound with a specialist. The week I was induced, she was estimated to be 9 lbs. I was induced 3 weeks early. She weighed 8 lbs. 6 oz. So not as big as thought. One reason I was measuring so big was because of the water. When my doctor broke my water, he was shocked at how much there was. I just about flooded the floor! LOL! You could have a lot of water too causing you to measure big.
