    Default Men....grrrr....

I don't know what to do...my BF and I have a 5 month old daughter, I'm still breast feeding so it's hard for me to get people to babysit her. Well my BF owns a high performance car shop and he's really into his cars. So he goes to these car meets many times keeping him out until 1am. Well lately he's been going to these things like twice a week and working late nights. On Thursday I asked him to stay home this weekend so we could spend time together since he went out Thursday night. He said he would, but then this afternoon he found out that there was a car meet tonight where there could be potential business...but he also goes for his own enjoyment. This really upset me. Am I just overreacting or should I be upset. He has been doing this stuff often lately and I don't know what to do. I've confronted him a few times now about this, but it never seems to go anywhere. Any advice?

I've got no idea how to get the fact that life changes through to a guys brain... Just keep your cool... and remind him he has a family at home now... You guys aren't as mobile and foot loose and fancy free as you were 14 months ago! (9 months of no drinkin for you included!)

I will say this though... When talking to guys about important things like this... it's always best to keep your head cool and your voice level. hard as heck... but it's way more effective than getting all fired up and losing your cool!

    Good luck!

Yes,you have a right to be upset.I understand if he needs to get business and working, but there needs to be some sort of time set aside for family.

My DH is a Drummer in a band as his 3rd job.So he plays on weekends. He loves to play so this is his hobby for him.He is a supervisor at a foundry daytime, and works unloading trucks at Walmart parttime.Sounds like alot ,and it is.

I right down his month schdule ,and implant family time on it.I most of the time stand firm on family time.We also have dinner as a family Sunday through Thursday at the table with all the family. He comes home from Walmart for dinner break.

Talk to him and let him know how you feel, and let him know you enjoy his company too.
