    Question Sooo....I just don't know!

Well, my DH and I are a few months into ttc and to be quite honest...I am already getting quite frustrated. I have used the CB Easy digital OPK and DH did the BD all around my O time, with positive O tests.....and I'm still not preggo. I know they say it can take up to a year to work...but I'm 30 and he will be 36 this week and we are working on our first baby...so I would really like to know if there is anything else I can be doing here?? I know SOO many factors can go into gettin preggo....I'm even considering items such as a gluten free diet, etc...possibly going the alternative route and getting accupuncture etc.....PLEASE let me know if anyone else has any tips/advice. I just don't wanna be in a situation where a yr from now we still are not successful and there was something different we could have tried.
    I'm all ears........

Well firstly you have to remember that 100% healthy couples can take a year to get pregnant for no real reason at all. You can try temping it helps pinpoint ovulation better and avoid the stress of opks, Ive known many ppl who were sucessful with it. the only other thing I can say is try not to stress and good luck.

yeah, it's easier said than done but they say stress can cause a delay. Do you know that you're ovulating for sure? Try temping to pinpoint the days, or do you check CM/CP? good luck hun, hope your BFP is right around the door!

i know what you mean. It is VERY frustarating. I know it's not easy but like everyone said.. stress free is the key. I am soo working on not thinking about it even MORE this month.. ugh goodluck to me lol. I also drink one glass of green tea everyday before i O. I heard it helps for CM. I also just purchaced Preseed. I never have EWCM so i'm hopping preseed helps for us this month. I know it's around the corner girl.. keep your head up

meggie you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

It really is true that it can take up to a year for a healthy couple to conceive. The more you learn about when fertilization can occur...the more it makes me wonder how in the world women end up pregnant by accident after one time. With each of my 5 pregnancies, it took 4 to 5 months to become pregnant...and that was with knowing when I O and trying to time things perfectly. The main things I can suggest are making sure you know when you O (I temped and occassionally did OPKs), and perhaps try preseed (although that didn't help me the few times I tried it...it has worked for other ladies on here). Finally, try to relax and go with the flow. You listed your ages of 30 and 36 as if you were running out of time. I understand wanting to start your family in your early 30's, but you really do have time. I wasn't able to try to start a family until I was 35, and then went through several m/c's. So my first son was born when I was 38. And our daughter will be born this summer shortly after I turn 40!

Good luck. Hope you get your BFP real soon!

I understand I'm not necessarily running out of time...but it DOES make me nervous to think about tryin to get pregnant after age 35 as that is when issues can arise....I did try preseed our first month, but haven't since....so maybe I'll try again...and one BIG question I have about temping is this: I work 3 days a week and have to be up at 6am...and other days do not (obviously) so in order to be accurate would I have to start getting up at 6am 7 days a week to record my BBT??
    Thanks for your response btw!
