OMG, just saw this on the news..... it's absolutely horrible! Those poor people.... and a kid and a baby too :(
My thought will be with their families, friends and loved ones. What kind of insanity causing someone to do this?!?!

I just read about this when I got up this morning. This guy is obviously crazy and sick in the head and maybe he was trying to be a villain. I just posted on my Facebook about it. It's so sad that it happened. I personally don't understand why little kids were at the midnight showing, it was shacking to see little kids were hurt ( I automatically assumed little kids wouldn't be there cause of the time) but I hope the guy gets a death penalty!!
I think that it is so awful. I am so glad that we don't allow guns here, however, it does seem strange that there were children there at a midnight showing - surely the best place for them would be in bed. I am not saying at all that the parents of the kids deserved it, I just think that there is a time and place for kids and that was not the best time to have them out of the house

Worry doesn't help tomorrow's troubles, but it does ruin today's happiness
My thoughts exactly Terri, kids should be wrapped up in bed at that time. If their parents are not also the ones killed I am sure they will regret the decision to take them for the rest of their lives. So so sad :(

The count is down to 12 but still such a tragic event.
I agree about the kids being out so late...6 year old at midnight, a bit crazy but hey maybe he loved loved loved Batman.
Still such a tragedy.
The world is a crazy place.
I wouldn't say the American Gun thing is at fault in this...can be a stolen gun (or blackmarket/illegal) or he could have just blown the whole place up with explosives instead of using a gun...they did find them in his apartment.
Either way, people are crazy and I hope he pays dearly (hopefully with his life)!
Terrible.
As the wife of a competitive shooter, I have to say that you can't blame guns for a crime. Killing someone is already against the law...obviously, these aren't law abiding citizens so they will get a gun on the black market if they are legally banned. Shotguns are allowed in the UK. He could have easily used that instead of the handgun.
Prayers to the families. Such a sad, sad event.

GAGE JOSEPH IS HERE!!!
This obviously hits really really close to home for me. Aurora is a super sketchy town with a bad rep and this just adds to it. My heart is with the families and victims...I can't imagine.
Who the hell brings a 3 month old to a midnight showing?!? Not saying that the mother deserved this (no one deserves that) but maybe if she used common sense there would have been a different outcome.
Stasticallu speaking, people who obtain guns legally are rarely the ones to committ crimes with them. It's the ones who posses illegal weapons that cause the trouble. This whole thing is so sad.
This is so terribly sad for all involved injured or killed, their poor families,it is something when you can't even go out to watch a movie without someone doing something horrific like this.I am with Terri I am glad we don't have a right to bear arms in the UK. Yeah you can get a shotgun license for sport etc but it is not a general population right to bear arms.It is not common to have one in a safe in homes etc...I am not anti gun I just think of them as a military or sports thing. It is true a nutter will get a gun no matter what though. It isn't always the reprobates though that go pyscho and go on killing sprees that has been proven. Although by the sounds of this guy he is was a batman fanatic so definately not living in the real world, was wrapped up in his own little world. I do think though alot of movies and Tv glamourise guns etc to a certain extent and must push the buttons of slightly unstable folk like him,sad really a whole generation will grown up thinking guns are a glamourised accessory and a normal thing to have.
Not sure why someone would take a 6yr old to watch Batman mind you it is a pretty dark movie not like the 70's cheesy series,I would take Bradley to a midnight showing of something if it wasn't a school night,we almost did for the last Harry Potter, but Keith was away. But at 6 no definately not. Maybe the lady with baby just thought baby would sleep through it if she had no babysitter. I guess whatever their reasons behind no one could have forseen this guy doing it,just glad they got him and he didn't kill himself or worse still get away.
Thoughts to those left behind without loved ones x
