That is so horrible, very heartbreaking that there are insane people like this.

I agree with Vicky, why was someone so young out so late and going to watch the new Batman movie??? I don't restrict my kids that much, but I do watch stuff first before just allowing them to watch it. I thought the last one would scare Adrian, since the Joker was insanely creepy, and because of the "darkness" of those 2 newer movies, the boys really only watch the first 4.

I remember seeing the first one and wondering if someone would copycat the joker. It was seriously the darkest movie I'd seen in awhile. Anyone that would hold to that Nihilistic philosophy and took it to the extreme would end up being "the joker". This guy was a phd student for neuroscience? Its all coming together to me, I can wrap my head around it. Forgive me, I just got back from Omaha and haven't caught the news, just bits and pieces. To me, it is all making sense, as much sense as an insane man can get.

We went to see the Dark Knight Rises yesterday and I couldn't help but just feel a little nervous about copycats. There was a violent part in the movie, where it is kind of like a massacre, and I kind of slid down in my seat, realizing I didn't know when the killer actually started shooting people in Denver. Going to the movies doesn't feel as safe as it did two weeks ago.

I know exactly what you're saying!! We went to it too, and although I didn't necessarily feel like it was going to happen there, it was just the feeling that people were doing what we were doing, and someone had to do a stupid stunt like that.

It's kind of like riding the greyhound bus now, after the gruesome incident a few years back. I can't ride it, not because I think it'll happen again, but because something did happen that will remind me of it.

I saw photos online of the three guys who died using their own bodies to shield their girlfriends, it is heartbreaking

We didn't watch the premier this weekend (south africa)just because that happened at a cinema.
We are going this weekend,and going alone.

We have taken our kids to two movies,when they were little,already had tickets and no sitter,and even though not at midnight,I can understand where the parents came from.Who thinks anything worse than nightmares from a scary movie will happen anyway?
Our do feel that the age restriction on movies a bit unfair on some,we couldn't take Sebastian to watch avengers,but he can watch batman?That doesn't make sense.
