    Default Update on sis

    Just got off the phone with Chelle and it isn't great news but not all bad either. Forgive if I get some terminology wrong, I never been through any of this stuff myself.

    She apparently has two larger folicles, one in each ovary. They are around 11mm each, and in her left ovary a "few" smaller ones. The doctor said that with her elevated FSH levels that this was pretty much what he was expecting, but she is repsonding to the injections.

    He said that there was still no guarantee and asked if she still wanted to carry on with the treatment. She said yes and that even if she had only had one folicle that she would have carried on so that she would know that she had done everything she possibly could and would not be left with any "what if's".

    She now has another injection which if I remember rightly is to stop her from ovulating so that the eggs will stay there to be collected. She is back for a scan on Monday to check everything is still growing and going to plan, and then if all if well she is at the clinic on Wednesday for them to collect any mature eggs (fingers crossed!!!!)

    She is quite up and down at the moment obviously going through this and add the hormones on top. I really really hope this happens for her, if you can spare any more thoughts or prayers for her it would be much appreciated

    Jackie i'm not aware what treatment(IUI or IVF) she is going thru and what cd is she for those follicle measurements but i pray this is her cycle and everything goes well with the treatment..............hoping & praying for a sticky strong BFP for your sis.............just to say even my sis is struggling with ttc.

    Thanks everyone. Amii I believe it will be IVF. I don't know what CD she was but know that she had four days of injections that she gave herself at home before having this scan.
