Default High & Low temps in same morning...

This cycle my temps have been higher than usual. This morning I had a temp of 36.8 @ 7:30am, then kicked the blankets off and 36.5 @ 8:30am, and again 36.5 @ 8:50am.

I think that the blankets are making my temp higher. We have the heat on pretty low lately so I end up with the blankets on but really hot by morning. On the mornings I have kicked them off, my temp is lower- at least when I remember to think of it. I'm wondering if the blankets can really have that much effect on my temp. Has anyone else experienced this?

Can't help you as this is my first cycle of temping (ever). Thought I would give it a try as I noticed last week my morning temps were quite low and I thought your temp when up after ovulation as much as one degree and I wonder if it actually did. What on average is your temp before ovulation and then after?

Usually before O, my temps are 36.6 or lower. After they are 36.7 and up. So I had a bunch of 36.7s in the pre-O phase this month. I did have two positive digital OPK smiley faces though, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to O any second now...or already did. I took my temp the same way this morning, and I got 36.8 both times now, so I think today is maybe the start of my temp rise? Which is annoying cause it means we missed yesterday for BD. I'm still not really sure that this was the temp rise cause it usually goes higher in the post-O phase.

yes room temp and I would also think the blankets could have an effect on your temp. That's why temping is not really a reliable prediction of ovulation, but should be used more like a why to make sure your body is doing what it should be doing. do you enter in your numbers anywhere like fertilty friend? Even they need 3 days before they can "guess" when ovualtion occurred.
