Temp spike...but hopefully not ovulation???
So as most of you know, I am trying to delay ovulation, but of course I have so very little control over this. I have had two days of EWCM, but negative OPK. This morning I woke up and had a temp spike. It was a little later than the other temps- but only a half hour. I was wrapped up in a blanket and it was hot, but it was even hotter the mornings a few days ago. Anyone had a temp spike and it turn out NOT to be ovulation? It's not just messing up the plans next month, but we didn't even DTD yet. !!!

Aw jeez. I think we totally missed it. I took soy isoflavones this month, and I think they worked! But um...I just didn't expect it to actually work and make me O earlier and stronger and despite my efforts to delay it, looks like it happened. Though I didn't get the positive OPK until the day of O. I took a OPK strip test on the night before the alleged O and got a negative. That was about 8pm. Then on the day of alleged O, the OPK test was at 6:45pm, and a digital too, and was positive-but my temp had already risen that morning. I guess maybe I O-ed between 8pm and 8am?

AND now I got a positive OPK @ 2pm today. Both the Wondfo Internet strip and the Clearblue Digital Smiley Face. That smiley face is like 99%. What is going on with my temps? Why are they up already? Ugh...so confused...

i am by no means an expert but i'm thinking you are going to O between now and tomorrow, possibly even the next day. going to see if i can find some fo my old charts and compare.

the first chart is my BFP chart this time around. I didn't look too far back, but i usually got a spike and then it dipped agian before O.

I would say between now and tomorrow. I think you will see your temps spike back up.

I would have a spike, then drop and then the o spike right after... interested to see what your temp is tomorrow...

Thanks for sharing your chart. Well, that makes total sense now. I never had a temp spike up above cover-line before O-ing. Usually my temp spikes and it's over. I like that you linked to your BFP chart. Maybe it's a good sign.Originally Posted by ladylovebug
