Default Due in March- getting married end of April- honeymoon ideas- suggestions

Hello! Just a little background... I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and as I hope, all goes well, I am due March 8- with possibly twins( long time coming!)My fiancé and I have been together for over 6 years, own a house, and such- we got pregnant doing ivf for the first time for a few minor issues we had- we are very thankful. It worked great timing wise bc we are getting married April26 2013, and I am due on March 8. Not worried about my dress or anything like that, already fitted and ordered a size bigger to alter from there ( I teach dance so I'm hoping I bounce back- fingers crossed!). Just wanted to see what suggestions anyone may have for honeymoon. We don't have to immediately go, but there is no way I'd want to leave my baby(s) either way. We thought of paying to take my mother in law so we can spend time with the babies and have time alone. My fiancé is just worried if we go somewhere, and need a doctor or on vacation, if someone sees you with a baby, possibly abductions. A little extreme I know, but rightfully crossing his mind. Part of me agrees- the other part says, " if they were 7 and on vacation with us, we would have the same worries". Any ideas? Would love to hear!

honeymoon should not include your mother in law of all people!!!
why dont you go somewhere near where you live for like a 4 day getaway, and have your mil stay in your house for those days, plus I'd hire a full time nanny to help her or have a sister or SIL come to help for those days as well!

I get the whole mil shouldn't be on our honeymoon, but my sil lives in San Diego and would never leave them with her ( big time partier at 32!) and I don't even feel comfortable leaving them with my mil- you don't know them! My mom is 80 and completely functional but I still wouldn't feel comfortable. Atleast if our mother in law came, she wouldn't mind being on her own,in her own room, until we needed her. I know a honeymoon isn't a necessity but we thought we could do something.

I think the only way you will get a honeymoon straight away, if you want to take your baby/babies I think the only optiob you have is to have someone come with you. Also you might have to be more picky where you go on honeymoon with a baby/babies so young who might not have had an innoculations etc...I personally would do a night in a gorgeous honeymoon suite local. Then have a proper honeymoon when the babies are older and you are more comfortable leaving them or they are older to travel a bit better etc..

Can you guys not have a babymoon instead? I've heard of couples doing this, they have a fantastic holiday away together just the two of them before their first child arrives. That way you can have a wonderfully relaxing holiday and come back all happy and refreshed and maybe after the wedding, go to a nearby posh hotel for the weekend? To a spa hotel or something. I think that's what I would do. To be really honest with you, after having the baby or babies you may not feel up to going away on holiday and if you do decide that you want to get away for a holiday, you may not be able to leave your baby with someone. It sounds so easy to do, but once that baby is in your arms, it is very hard to leave them. That is just my opinion x

I agree, you might not feel up to it after just having had a baby(s),so the Babymoon sounds perfect.I for one would never want my MIL on honeymoon with me!My opinion?wait until they are older and have a honeymoon then.Oh,and congrats :)

I would be more like Vicky, and go for a one night honeymoon at a really great hotel, and then go for a real "honeymoon" for your one year anniversary or something. Taking your mil would be disappointing and leaving your baby(s) would be almost impossible at less than 2 months old. Possibly the first of MANY sacrifices you will have to personally make for your child(ren) :)
