Thread: joshua's birth story

ok bin a little bit slack in posting!! especially as all he seems to do is sleep!!

spent most of friday night in the bathroom thought my god im weeing alot tonight but turns out it was actually my waters!! lol

woke up after 3 hours sleep roughly with a backache n thought i had slept funny. by half 7 i went for some paracetamol as it was drivin me insane and dp said r u timin the pains? r they regular u dont do mornings!! (very true btw unless my clock wakes me im out for hours!!)

so sat for half hour n checked n pain was there every 5 mins!!

by which point i said best get phoebe up n phoebe dp daughter who said she would babysit! she was already at work so ended up phoning my best mate who lives a few doors away to have em while i went n got checked.

by this time it was 815am so we phoned hospital and they agreed to get checked even tho i had my sweep booked for that day aswell

got to the hospital at 8.45 roughly and shown to antenatal as they didnt think i was in labour and said they would check bp,temp and things, which i know they done n then mw said right we will do internal see whats going on

took trousers off n she said to dp pres that button n heard her shout delivery pack!

3 pushes later he was at the end of the bed!! no drugs no move to labour ward as literally no time and the mw was shocked it was so quick!

total time in "labour" at the hospital was 25 minutes! n mw said if we had left it any longer at home he would have bin born here or in the car!! he certainly wasnt hanging around!!

they weighed him in at 7 lb 8 n got home at half 5 after waitin all day for paediatrician to do his usual baby checks. only thing he failed was his hearing test in one ear but phoebe failed that aswell so got a follow up. he jumps at noise so not to worried tbh.
