Default Taking Abby to the doc

The loose stools from her "teething" have caused a diaper rash that I have not been able to clear for 6 days now - 6 days! The skin is broken and open and she cries when I lay her down on the changing table befoore I even touch her. She stiffens up and shakes when I put the cream on her.

I've tried everything, rinsing her off, leaving her diaper off, changing her 24/7 all the creams, I know its dry before I put the cream on, I rinse her off w/ warm water and pat dry with a dry cloth then put the cream on..keep teh diaper loose...Im just not sure what else to do!

The only thing I have not tried is putting her to bed @ night w/out a diaper. I might do that (put plastic under the sheet) and just leave her diaperless but I dont want to ruin her lovie...

Poor baby, ask the dr for a script for something called happy hiney. When my youngest had a horrible diaper rash dr gave her that and after applying for a whole day it was healing by the next day.

wow, really the next day?!?! I will THANK YOU! I was going to take her to the zoo but I dont want to use wipes on her, and there I would have to. So its putting a damper on our holiday weekend, and I just feel bad for her in general. She is in pain poor baby. :(

Poor baby....I hope she's feeling better soon Cindy! What kind of diaper rash cream are you using? I have always used the Desitin Creamy for Matthew and it seems to do wonders when he has a rash...

thanks I feel so bad for her lol. I know diaper rash isnt a big deal but when I go to pick her up and place her on my hip, she brings her legs up and into herself so her shins sit on my hip instead so she cant even put her legs around me. It hurts her when I hold her! :( :(

I bought that boudroux butt paste...it worked very well.

WHen lillie had her bad rash I bought VIVA paper towels and got them very wet and put them in one of those plastic travel wipes cases for on-the-go changes.

And personally, I wouldn't let her sleep with no diaper...
