Great news!!! I think PGD is a great idea!!!!!!!!!! It will rule out any eggs with an issue right off the bat.
Well our appointment went very well today. There are two things different this time that our doc wants to do.
1. She wants to do a hysteroscopy. This apparently makes the endometrium more receptive to implanation.
2. She wants us to have a test called PGD done on our embryos. It is a screening test for chromosomal abnormalities. It is not covered by our govt. and would cost us $3000.
When DH heard $3000, I think his mind just shut off, cause he could barely remember anything after she said that. We have an info session about it on August 29th, and can make a more informed decision about it. I am already pro it- because if the RE thinks it might help, I just want to do it.
I have the hysteroscopy next Tuesday!!!! Then depending on what we decide with the PGD we will schedule our next IVF. The doc said not to delay our IVF too long in order to do the PGD, so we have to wait and see when the availbilities for that is. It looks like we might get our next IVF in before the end of 2102.

GAGE JOSEPH IS HERE!!!
A fiend of mine may have this done. She has been pregnant four times but had never carried longer then 12 weeks. After chromosomal testing, they found out it was her DH. He had a chromosome issue that gave them an 80% chance to miscarry each time they were pregnant (translocation?). They are preggo now (fifth prenancy) and they had an amnio done and all looks good but if they want to have another child, they will have to do IVF and do a PGD. Technology is fascinating. You will be amazed at how you can come up with the money when it is something you want so bad!
