ugh. I really hope the doctors are wrong, and you just have slow rising HCG. I don't understand how it could go up and there be an impending m/c. Whatever the case, I pray that's not it. As far as supplements go, do you have PCOS?
Well, I ended up going in today for more bloodwork and my HCG went up slightly again. It is now at 170. They have pretty much told me that they are waiting for me to miscarry the baby. I guess technically that would be considered a chemical pregnancy. So now I am just waiting to lose the baby. I am praying it happens sooner than later.
On to the advice part: I think I want to take a couple of months to use more natural supplements and approaches. What are some things we can try to get pregnant on our own? Anything that has worked for anyone that may be worth a try before doing my FET cycle. I say I think I want to take a couple of months because that is what I feel now an hour ago I wanted to do FET as soon as possible. So who knows.
I have been reading up a lot on slow rising HCG. It can sometimes start out slow then jump up quickly. But it usually means that something is wrong with the embryo and it is implanted still giving of HCG but not a viable pregnancy.
I do not have PCOS. I am in the unexplained infertility. My husband has a slightly low motility rate but nothing that would warrant a problem. I had 3 of my embryos divide more quickly than they like to see so I don't know if that could be a problem.
NO NO NO!!! I'm so sorry. That's just not fair, not fair at all.
I hope it turns around, but on the flip side, I too was thinking about more natural approaches just before and as we did the IVF. There's something so darn freaky science about it, it almost makes you want to run the other way. Here's some supplements I just ordered (yes, already): chasteberry(aka vitex), wild yam root, coenzymeQ10 and for DH horny goat weed and maca, and a male fertility blend- which is like a multi with all the same stuff the FS prescribed him only way cheaper.

Oh no! I'm so sorry! I had slow rising HCG levels with my first pregnancy and sadly miscarried at 10 weeks. I understand how hard it is! I hope some of the other ladies can give you supplement advice. Hugs!
I am so sorry. This is horrible! I pray things turn around though...!
As far as supplements, CoQ10 and Resveratrol are supposed to be great for egg quality. Look up SOY ISOFLAVONES too. Its like natural clomid and depending on what 5 days at the beginning of your cycle you take it, it can either produce a strong ovulation with one mature egg, less mature eggs but more than one, or a combo of both. I did it for 2 cycles and didn't get pregnant but I know lots of ladies that did. It gave me really strong, painful ovulation so I decided to give it a rest for a couple of months but I intend on doing it again in April if nothing happens by then. Royal Jelly is another thing I take, as well as baby aspirin every day and Benadryl during the time I think implantation is happening to calm the histamines in my uterus so they don't attack the embryo.
Really, I am the supplement queen. I take more than is mentioned above. If you have any other questions or want further info, pm me because I could literally go on for an hour...lol.

GAGE JOSEPH IS HERE!!!
I am so so sorry you are going through this. I've been there and it just sucks!
As far as supplements go, I read a really great book (in my opinion it was) called The Fertility Diet. It's based on a study of nurses and what they did/did not do prior to conceiving or not conceiving. Using that book I started my own regimen of a multi vitamin, folic acid, iron, calcium w/vit d, vitex, and a fertility blend that had lots of different herbs in it (just picked it up at the grocery). Being a big girl I took the max doses on the herbs. I also started watching what I ate and exercised. I did not get pregnant doing this however I really feel like it made my body act more normal (I'm anovulatory) and I think it allowed the femara to work better when we started it cause my body was already kinda in gear. Anyway, just my 2 cents on that!
