Ivf #1 fet #1

Now I feel like I'm going to be doing IVFs and FETs for a few years, and I'm actually okay with this. The clinic I go to won't treat you after age 43, and I'm 40, so I've got three years to get my sticky BFP or not. I'll deal with the "or not" in three years.

So next week, with the arrival of AF, I go in for an u/s on CD2, start taking estrogen, go back on CD13, they check my lining, and then have me back every few days until my uterine lining is perfect for transfer. Then I start taking progesterone and estrogen, then de-thaw my embryo, call me the morning of the transfer to let me know "if" it survived, and what time to come in. Do the transfer, wait two weeks, take a blood test and I'm either pregnant or not.

DH's parents are coming this time, so hopefully this will be way less stressful than when we had to get babysitters. I don't know what it is about childcare that makes it so easy to flake on. Last time, on my 1st day of 2WW, where I was supposed to be on bed rest for 3 days, the babysitter's b/f broke up with her and she was too upset to make it. OMG. I have come to realize that most babysitters available in the daytime have very drama filled lives.

Anyways, I'm hoping that the stress of having to keep up with stuff will be off me, cause I know MIL wants another grandkid.

So she's on my side for this one.

As far as how positive I feel about this specific FET? Not really. I feel like DH was still smoking and we were so stressed out and it probably isn't that great. We can make some better ones next time. But of course, who knows?

Well Skye, I will tell you the same thing everyone has been telling me for the last week. It's great advice but unfortunately hard to follow, lol. Think the best and stay positive until you have concrete reason to think otherwise.
I have my fingers crossed for you and I really, really hope this little bean takes and sticks and grows into your snow baby!

Hoping this cycle is the sticky one! I am glad to hear that you are more comfortable/ less stressed about having to get a babysitter while you are doing this. That is great that your MIL would come to help out! :) Again, wishing you all the best!!

I know what you mean about sitters! When I went to go back to work when DH was working, I tried to get a sitter for 2 hours a day, paying $20, and either no one wanted to do it, or it seemed more of a hassle to them. Pfffttt!!

I wish you only the best! Fet is so much more less stressful, and i know you will get your sticky bfp. I think i told u before dh was smoking when we froze our embies, and it didnt affect by bfp after FET.
My fet injan this year, we were both smoking, i actually smoked a ciggy in parking lot before going up to the clinic to do fet. I am excited to follow your journey and i really hope it ends in a bfp!
