Thread: Any need to test?

Hi there,

Well I was due my period yesterday and nothing yet. I am having cramps but not too bad and my boobs are still sore to touch which ususally has gone a few days before my period is due. Is there any point in testing should I leave it for a few more days?

You are able to test now if you want. With most tests that I've seen, you can test the day after your pissed period. It's up to you, really.

Ashley is right, you can test now. You may want to wait up to four more days before testing to decrease the chance of false negatives.

I was always advised to take the test after my missed period for better results and with the first urine in the morning.
They say that some tests are good to take it before but best results are after.

Oh my god I cannot believe it, I took a test last night and I'm pregnant ! I am still in shock I have made an appointment for this morning to get it confirmed with my doctor. Hubby is just over the moon.

Thanx everyone for your good wishes. I went to my doctors surgery on Friday the nurse confirmed my pregnancy. I was so happy. I made an antinatel appointment to see my doctor for two weeks time. Not sure of my due date yet was trying to calculate it on the net and it says around the beginning of March.

I am feeling ok. I am tired and my boobs are really sore. Was a bit teary yesterday. Ah but hubby is soooo delighted he is on a real high. I really want to tell people but have to wait till the twelve week mark.
