No blankets? Really? Dont they get cold through the night? x
I always used a gro bag as soon as they were big enough and before then, they slept in clothes only. I have only just given Addison a blanket about three weeks ago to sleep with, I am very paranoid about blankets in cots and keep them bare, no toys, no blankets

No, they always slept, if it was warm, they would sleep in a baby grow and grow bag and if it was cold, I would add a vest under their babygrow. They must have been comfy enough because Billy and Addison were sleeping through the night from 6 and 8 weeks old x

Good to know! My mum was always moaning that two blankets werent enough lol, but I have to learn to ignore mother on some things! ;-)
Well I nipped to primark and got some softer blankets, thinner ones, really nice ones (only £4 each bargain) and some sheets...Ill stick to one sheet, two blankets as recommended and keep an eye on the room's temp..
I plan to have her in short sleeved vest and cotton babygrow
Thanks everyone!

Andrea a vest, babygro, sheet and 2 blankets is an awful lot to put on a baby this time of year.Overheating is way more dangerous than a baby getting a wwe bit chilly.Be careful my lovely. Is it those fluffy pink ones from primark?! If so Millie still uses hers for her dolly's lol!!
When Logan came home he was swaddled with a blanket or in a swaddle bag. Now he just sleeps in a footed sleeper, his crib is bare except for the crib sheet. The recommendations over here is a completley bare crib except for a sheet...no bumpers, toys, or blankets. Like Terri said, I'm paranoid and erred on the side of caution especially after he sucked in his bumper.
I agree with Vicky that sounds an awful lot of covers for a summer baby, I would worry about overheating as a newborn can't regulate their own temperature. Overheating is the biggest risk for sids.
A vest, babygro, sheet and 2 blankets is way more than I used for Hollie and she was a cold December baby!
