I personally did not, but my Dad had gall bladder problems and he had to have his removed. I hope nothing like that happens to you!!
That persistent and increasing pain in my side forced my hubby to take me to the hospital today. Doc said he doubted if it was anything serious, and gave me a prescription for pain medicine. Said it could be my gall bladder, and if it wouldn't go away to tell my doc (I already made an appt for next Friday) so he can order a scan. Even with the meds I jolted in bed from a sudden shooting pain. Anyone here have gall bladder problems that was like this??

Ahlam,
I'm sorry that you're feeling crappy!! I hope the gall bladder issues aren't too serious and that you are able to get some rest and feel better. Hopefully your weekend wasn't all bad. You are such a positive person, I really hope this doesn't get you down! Take care of yourself.![]()
Ahlam, I have never had gall bladder problems, but alot of my family members have! I believe they are extremely painful.
I remember getting a phone call over a year ago from the hospital telling me my mum had been rushed to hospital suffering a heart attack!! As it turned out and after 3 days in hospital she had her gall bladder removed!!
So I guess its pretty painful - My mum had passed out from the pain.
Hi Ahlam.....
Both my mom and my dad had gallbladder problems and had them removed.I have heard that gallbladder problems can run in the family.I think i also have a slight problem with mine because almst everytime i r=eat i get really bad pains and have to go to the bathroom (sorry TMI). but its true, and it hurts really bad.I'm glad your going or already went to the dr.cuz if buy chance it ruptures then you have bigger problems...Good luck and pls let me know if it was truly your gallbladder or something eles.....take care
Im sorry to hear about your gall bladder. My husband is a general surgeon and removes these everyday. It is a very common procedure and usually they can do them laparoscopically. It can be very painful and certain foods can really start the burden. They say to stay away from greasy, fried foods. If it truely is your gall bladder, and you need it taken out.... you wont have to worry about it after pregnancy. That is when it has most chance to go bad. So atleast you can get it out of the way. Good luck and I hope everything gets better for you. Keep us informed.![]()
