    Question Gall Bladder problems?

That persistent and increasing pain in my side forced my hubby to take me to the hospital today. Doc said he doubted if it was anything serious, and gave me a prescription for pain medicine. Said it could be my gall bladder, and if it wouldn't go away to tell my doc (I already made an appt for next Friday) so he can order a scan. Even with the meds I jolted in bed from a sudden shooting pain. Anyone here have gall bladder problems that was like this??

Sorry to hear about these pains you're having. I hope you feel better soon! Did AF show her ugly face? I don't remember you updating us on that, weren't you going to test on Friday?

    Hi babygomes,

yeah baby AF came on Friday LOL. Oh well, I'm not terribly upset-I was too busy worrying about my gallbladder LOL. Luckily it seems to have subsided with the help of some dietary changes (not drinking coffee) and painkillers LOL

Sorry about AF showing and about your Gall Bladder! I hope you feel better soon. About AF though, it seems like you have regular cycles so and that is such a GOOD sign! I don't think it will be much longer for you and you'll have a Maybe you'll be in the September club, since I see that September is already a special month for you.

    Ahlam,
I'm sorry that you're feeling crappy!! I hope the gall bladder issues aren't too serious and that you are able to get some rest and feel better. Hopefully your weekend wasn't all bad. You are such a positive person, I really hope this doesn't get you down! Take care of yourself.

Ahlam, I have never had gall bladder problems, but alot of my family members have! I believe they are extremely painful.
I remember getting a phone call over a year ago from the hospital telling me my mum had been rushed to hospital suffering a heart attack!! As it turned out and after 3 days in hospital she had her gall bladder removed!!
So I guess its pretty painful - My mum had passed out from the pain.

Im sorry to hear about your gall bladder. My husband is a general surgeon and removes these everyday. It is a very common procedure and usually they can do them laparoscopically. It can be very painful and certain foods can really start the burden. They say to stay away from greasy, fried foods. If it truely is your gall bladder, and you need it taken out.... you wont have to worry about it after pregnancy. That is when it has most chance to go bad. So atleast you can get it out of the way. Good luck and I hope everything gets better for you. Keep us informed.
    Mandy
