Call and ask your dr about it? I havent heard of it so dont know what it is.
Anyone have any experience with this illness? A teacher where I work has it, and is still AT WORK!!! I can't believe our boss isn't sending her home. Times like these I realize that Korea still needs to develop a lot....
Anyway, I've read that it probably doesn't pose a danger to my unborn baby, but some sights say it is debatable and if exposed, the possibility of congenital defects exists! I know that freaking out over this won't help anything, but I'm kind of upset. I really think she should go home for a week or two. And I'm worried that I may have already been exposed, since she likely got it from one of her students (I teach her students English).
Trying to keep this in perspective....
Any thoughts?

i would call your ob and see what they have to say. i have no idea what that is.

I pulled this up it says adults arent as likely to get it.
Im suprised she is still at work! I know the koreans are hard workers (i used to work with koreans) but there has to be an element of safety of others health also. Not so sure i would be too keen to catch it, however, i dont know much about the illness either.
Keep your distance - any illness while pregnancyis worth avoiding in my opinion! xx
Seems like it doesnt last very long. I doubt you have anything to worry about.
Yes i would deffo speak to docs about this one , AND KEEP AWAY !! i would so be stressed out about this . Why don't you say somehting to your boss about this , it can't be good if this deseases can spread .. then he will have more then one staff member of work !
I would be really careful and speak to your OB about the risks of contacting the disease at work, especially in a school setting. Things can spread really fast and easily. Take care.

I have worked in daycare settings before were we had a pretty big out break of it!!! The younger kids are more app to get it like between 1-2 years usually!! Its blisters that develop on your hands, feet, and mouth. It looks kind of like cold sores when on your mouth. There tiny little red dots. I was told at my daycare that adults aren't as likely to get it!! There isn't really anyway to treat it either it just has to run its course. I agree she should be home but if she already has the spots on her face, hands, and feet then the contagest part is over!! I would deffinetly call your OB to see what they say!!!![]()
