Thread: Help Does anyone know...

My ultrasound was last thursday and my results are taking forever. The technician just said that the machine spat out 7 weeks 3 days based on head to rump measurements. Now is that fetal age? Do I add two weeks to that for the age of my pregnancy to calculate a due date? Help this is driving me crazy I have to know a due date.

Your due date is typically 40 weeks from the first day of your LMP, assuming you ovulated mid-cycle, or 38 weeks from date of conception when known. The 7 weeks 3 days is not actual fetal age because the number of weeks you are includes the two weeks prior to conception.

That puts your due date around December 5th, true fetal age today at 6 weeks 3 days, and the fetal age referred to by doctors and textbooks at 8 weeks 3 days. They like to make it confusing.
