Question New here - have a question

    Hey everyone,

I have a question, hope someone can answer. On 17th and 18th my fiance and I had unprotected sex. The 23rd is when I will be ovulating according to my calendar. My question is can I still become pregnant when I begin to ovulate since I read that sperm can last for 2 - 5 days once inside a woman? Should I be wondering or are my chances to small?

    Hey Tina! Welcome to BTZ!!!
I would have to say that anytime you have unprotected sex, there is a chance of getting pregnant. I don't know what your chances are, but I would say there could be a small chance. Not really sure, though. Maybe someone else can help you a little better. But I have always been told that anytime you have unprotected sex, there's a chance of pregnancy. Good luck, hun, and I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help to you!

I have heard that sperm can live 2-5 days in a woman, yes. I believe it's true. Who knows, though, lol.

Hi. I would say there is a possibility but it is slim, but dont be too surprised if you turn up pregnant.

Tina, I guess that there is always a chance that you could be pregnant. Good luck.

Missy, I think that you need to discuss this with your husband and tell him why you are so desperate for a baby. You need to reach a compromise that you are both happy with. If you do decide to wait until next year, at least you will have had a year alone together. My husband and I agreed to marry and then wait a year before trying and it has been really beneficial to us. The year has flown and we ironed out any immediate problems that we found and we get on so well now. Having the time alone has been the best thing for us and now that we are pregnant, things are even better. Pregnancy and having a baby can be tough on a relationship. Don't be too disheartened if your husband wants to wait for a while. Good luck X

    Hya Tina x x

to ! Youve come to the right place for advice and help and support.

Everyone is different so none of us can tell u exactly what ur chances are, some ladies are more fertile some are less. Are you hoping to be pregnant or not? You sound like you know ur cycle so you could wait and see what happens then? hope you get the outcome you want x

Missy the best advice I can give you is to tell him and be honest. I wanted a baby, and it was me who brought the idea up to my partner. He wasnt keen as much as I was at first, as he wanted to settle more before we planned that (as in a house and money) but he grew to the idea and i was completely honest - i didnt give him an ultimatum, i just said im there in my life, im ready, the next thing and the only thing i want to do is become a mum. He saw how much is meant to me so we started trying - im not nearly 17 weeks pregnant! He has now completely grown to the idea, and is at the same stage as me in his life - we both want to and are ready to become parents.

Ive heard some people say they dont want to tell their partners cos they wont understand or agree - but this is definatly not a good idea cos getting pregnant may not solve issues.. id tell him how you feel - hel respect ur honesty & you can both sit down and discuss it. Good luck - and if u get pregnant ul have the baby in 2007 if you time it well so u wont be goin agaisnt what u originally planned lol x x

i totally agree, Missy u should tell your husband and be honest about it he might not be too keen but at the end of the day he`s your husband, it`s not a simple thing to decide on your own.
good luck too all the women who are expecting proud of u all!!
