I did some research on this and couldn't find much about it. It is not FDA approved, but the FDA does not test it. There are always unknowns when it comes to newer drugs, and since this one is untested it isn't clear if Ovulex poses a risk for you or your baby.

It does appear to help some women ovulate who have problems such as PCOS.

I've never had a problem ovulating, so I haven't used anything like this myself. Are you on clomid and metformin?

I ovulate once every 3 months according to my charts and my doctor. My doctor put me on Femara for one month. Now she wants me to try without it. She says most women get pregnant when they come off the drug. I don't want to use too much drugs because of multiple births. Ovulex appears to be mostly herbal. My doctor has given me another prescription for Femara but she does not want me to use it until August or September, preferably the latter. My prgestrone is good she says, from the blood work I had done.

    Hi, babyblues.

I did some research on Femara and found that it is very similar to clomid. I didn't find anything about needing to skip months, but I'm sure your doctor has good reason. It could be due to the fact that you do ovulate on your own, just not every month.

The good news is that it doesn't have as many side effects as clomid. Femara won't affect your cervical mucous and uterine lining the way clomid can. Since your progesterone tested well, then you have a good chance of this working for you. You should have the same 1 in about 4 chance everyone else has this month

    Sending tons of your way!
