i was going to name this baby Noah or Alexa, Since it is a girl we are using alexa and IF WE have another baby and it is a boy we will use Noah
for the m/c situation i would not reuse the name
Kind of a weird question maybe... but will you reuse the boy's or girl's name that you don't use this time for the next baby, or is one name only good once? I'm asking because I fully intend to use the name Aria for a girl, unless I change my mind and decide I hate it for some reason... but we had kind of decided on it before we even got pregnant, so it's not so much that we chose it for THIS baby, but for OUR FIRST DAUGHTER.
But my mom and dad didn't recycle their boy name... I was going to be Kimberly or Andrew, and my sister was going to be Ashley or Adam.
I don't know what I would do if I miscarried... like, if I miscarried, and it turned out to be a girl, would she be Aria and I'd pick a new name, or would I still keep that name for the future? That, I dont know. But if I found out it was a boy he would be nameless at this point... that's kind of sad. I think once you find out the sex and start calling the baby by its name whether its born or not, that name is officially taken! But if you don't know... that's a grey area.
But I definitely will recycle, or at least add to the LIST next time, whichever name we don't use this time... just wondering how many of you are like me and how many of you are like my parents?
We already have a boy and girl name picked out...Brooke for a girl...and Brett for a boy. So we will keep those names and recycle as you put it. As for m/c situation, we did not know if our baby was a boy or girl this last time at 11 weeks. So we picked a new gender neutral name...Beagan. I could not stand the idea of leaving our baby nameless. I'm not sure what I would do if we already knew the sex at the time of m/c.
