    Talking Baby Movement So EARLY!!!

Hi all, I forgot to mention in my post about the 10 weeks check up that I have been feeling flutters and flicks for the past week. I asked my OB saying that I thought it would be too early but she said she has no doubt that is what I have feeling! WOW! Can't believe at 9 weeks I could be feeling the baby move. It is not strong, just faint little flicks and flutters. My last son I felt move at 11 weeks, so it is very special to start feeling it this early. Anybody else felt movements this early? Maybe I am just sensitised to it because I have been pregnant so often!!

Sam, HOW AWESOME!!!! I guess your OB would know if it was too early or not - Oh that is so exciting I cant wait til I feel those little flutters now. I must admit, I hadnt thought much about it, I have been so consumed with the scans at this stage of preg.
What a wonderful feeling for you Sam, can you describe sort of what it feels like so I know what to look out for in the coming weeks?

It is kind of hard to explain, I only feel them in when I am in certain positions. Mainly sitting down watching TV or driving in the car. If you can imagine somebody lightly flicking you with their fingers on your skin, but you are feeling this on the inside. A little dull flick or flutter. They usually only last about a minute before I lose the sensation. I guess the baby moves to another area where I can't feel the movement. You will know, it it not gas and it is not pain, you will wonder what is that? Then you will know as the days go by and you get them and they get stronger. It is almost like you are in a boat and somebody is under the hull in the water flicking the bottom. In the water you would hear that little ting as the flicking happens. Sort of like that, if that makes sense. At the moment I probably only lucky enough to feel it once a day. I was surprise too, but OB said yes it was. The baby must be a groover and shaker!

That's so cool, I can't wait to feel that!!

Maybe you have really sensetive nerve endings or somthing that lets you feel it earlier than the average woman.

Whatever the reason, it's great news!

Wow Sam!! That's so incredible to feel it so early! With your experience I have no doubt that you are feeling your baby!

I still do not feel mine all the time. Little kicks here and there, but not alot. I think this one may be my mellow one! Which could be quite a relief after my incredibly active daughter I don't worry much because I still feel it every day, but sometimes I wonder if I should be feeling it more.

Congrats Sam! So glad to hear baby is such a groover

I thought i felt momement at 9 weeks, close to 10, but i cant be 100% sure as this is my first pregnancy. it has only happened about twice, and felt like flicking inside my tummy. since then, i havent felt anything like it. it was such a srange feeling, and really obvious. i felt it both times when i was on the computer.

Wow that's great Sam! Its so exciting!!

I first felt my baby movements around 13-14 weeks which I was told was quite early for a first timer! Like you said, it feels just like someone is lightly flicking you from the inside.

    I loved it!

Bubs is rolling and kicking me as we speak!

    Hey Sam,

Congratulations, I too felt my baby kick very early, With this pregnancy I started feeling little fliks at just 6 wks and I asked a Doctor about it and she said they most likely are to be the baby kicking and then by just 9 wks they were strong enough that even my partner could feel them when he placed his hand on my stomach and now at just 20 wks I feel like this baby just never stops kicking (its gotta be healthy) its a little soccor player lol. With my other son I didnt feel him kick until I was 23Wks pregnant with him and I never even started to show until I was 5months 3wks preagnant and I am a very small skinny build so nobody would believe me when i told them how far pregnant I was, But this time round I started to show alot earlier and Im very noticably pregnant now, I started to show at just 9wks so It was pretty excitting.
So how far in are u now Sam?
Hope everything goes well for u.
    take care and have fun
    Mia
