My experience was similar. I understand how scary this is. My hpt was positive, my blood test was positive, I had a little bleeding that wasn't bright red, and they couldn't see the baby on an ultrasound at six weeks. Mine turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy.

Yours could be something different, but ectopics are life threatening to you. Don't let fear keep you from going to your appointment. I recommend you call your doctor now and tell him about the blood so he can decide if you need to come in sooner.

Hopefully it is something along the lines of you ovulating late and the little bit of blood is normal, and your baby will show up on an ultrasound soon. Just be careful and if your bleeding gets heavier, see your doctor asap, or go to the emergency room if needed.

You must be so worried, my heart goes out to you. I have had 2 miscarriages in the last 6 months, both at 6 weeks and didn't have very good experiences with either of the 2 doctors I consulted. Like you, I was told to come back in 1 day, 2 days, 5 days etc, by which time I was experiencing severe cramps and the 'spot' bleeding had turned into a heavier flow. I felt that the doctors had an inclination that I was 'losing' my pregnancies, but just kept me strung along until they could confirm that I was indeed in the throws of miscarrying. Ifelt really let down and guilty that maybe if I had been more forthright with the doctors, the pregnancy might have been saved.

However, your pregnancy might well be perfectly ok (i pray that it is) but if you don't see the doctor STRAIGHT AWAY you might find yourself like me, wishing that I had done more and not letting the doctor send me away when there might have been some hope of the pregnancy contimuing safely. After the event, another doctor told me that I should have taken myself straight down to the hospital if I could not get a doctors appointment as an injection can be given to boost hormone levels and maintain the pregnancy.
I am not by any means an expert, but urge you to take medical advice immediatley. Please let us know how you get on,

i wanna sex in my pregnency

hi my last period was on 09/02/2005. I did pregnancy test on the 22/03/05 which was possitive. I repeated the test one week later and the result was the same. I have all the signs swollen breastes, neausea, fatigue but the doctor did a test today and it was negative. I am feeling really confused. Can someone help.

That is definately confusing. Was your doctor's test a blood test or a urine test? False negatives happen frequently, especially when testing too early, but false positives are rare. Did you have an hCG shot prior to your march 22 test? This could cause a false positive if the hCG is not out of your system. Did you read the test results at the correct time? This could cause a false positive if you wait too long before reading the results. Was the positive result a faint grey line? This can be an evaporation line that is sometimes mistaken for a positive result.

False negatives typically occur due to testing too early, but can happen due to not reading the result at the stipulated time or from not dipping the stick in the urine well or not getting it in the urine stream well.

If your doctor's test was a blood test, chances are good his test is the accurate one unless someone mixed something up at the lab.

In any case, since you've had mixed results, it doesn't hurt to test again. Try a different brand than the one you tested with the first time and make sure you follow the instructions exactly.

Im back..... now I have the answer to my question. I lost my baby.... yes.. it did not develop well.

So the doctor decided to clean it. I cried... but it for my own safety and im sure i will have the chance to hold my baby soon. Thanks for all the support. Will keep in touch... love..

I'm so sorry.

While you and your partner are grieving, you may want to take some time and put together a memory box for your baby and you can put things in it like your positive pregnancy test (or a picture of it), a baby book, anything else you might have. Also, I recommend writing letters to your baby from either or both of you and putting them in the box. If you got a baby blanket, you can use it to make a doll for the memory box. Just put in anything that is important for your baby's memory.
