Question?

Hey everyone i just have a quick question for you all

i am seen at a small clinic here on base (there is no naval hospital) so i don't get periodic ultra sounds, but i have a choice to go off base and have ultrasounds if i choose too, now they don't cost tons but they do run about 50 bucks per ultrasound, they are the 3d ones so i am old they are very detailed...

no my question is i want to get one to tell the sex of the baby but i have to get it done by the middle of july becuase he is leave town for a few weeks, and started the next month i will not be able to go out in town anymore

so my question is when is the soonest the sex can be seen by 3d ultrasound, my husband is deploying in june and he would like to be there, would 16 weeks be way to soon?

They can sometime find the babies sex at 16 weeks if the baby corporates.

you can try, but dont rely on the results 100%. it would be neat for you just to see how he/she is doing though! when i was born, my dad was in the USMC. i was born in NC, though.

when can i get more positive results on the sex? 17 18 weeks?

i am a horrible, horrible, horrible person to ask! i had an ultrasound at 19 weeks, 3 days. chick was a royal b...and said i wasn't measuring that far along so she couldn't tell me anything and that i wouldn't get another ultrasound. well, i raised a stink and got another ultrasound at 21 weeks 3 days and was told i was having a girl. that was a lot better experience. the tech apologized and said the girl before was actually working for her that day, so she just had an attitude.

BUUUUT, i had a 4D ultrasound last Saturday and i'm definitely having a BOY. that was very clear! lol

so...like i said...do not count on me!

i'd go for it when your dh is still around, but maybe you can do another one at 28 weeks or so??? i dont know when all your dh will be around. you can get a lot better pics then too.

see my poor husband would be heart broken he wants a girl so bad, but i have a feeling it is a little boy....what names do u have picked out.
