Default starting to worry... some TMI in here..

ok..so my MD put me on Prometrium twice a day in addition to my prenatal vitamin daily. This has been for about a month now. I am exactly eight weeks today. I am starting to get worried. I believe it is the prometrium that is causing me to have VERY frequent bowel movements (sorry for the TMI). Plus on top of that i am having period like cramping on and off throughout the day. Sometimes they are sharp and sometimes they are very faint. My MD originally told me so long as there was no blood that the cramping was just the uterus stretching, but with the frequent Bm's and all i am starting to worry. Then this afternoon i had really really really faint spotting. How can you tell if you are having a miscarraige? My Md office told me that the frequent BM is definitly due to the prometrium but i need to stay on it so to take immodium and said they were not concerned with the spotting as it was really faint and light pink. Anyone ever have this? Any insight would help. I am trying not to become the worry wart kinda preggo...lol...

There are plenty of ladies on here who have had spotting and were just fine, and others who had spotting and went on to have a m/c. The only way you can know for sure is to have an u/s. Have you had an u/s yet?

Like the girls above said, there are some ladies on here who have had spotting on and off their entire pregnancy and have healthy babies. If you are worried or concerned, you could always go and get a second opinion?

if you are having frequent BM, that could be a cause of the cramping.
If you are worried about it i'd talk to your doc. Its probably worth doing that anyway just to check on the spotting.

And you are totally allowed to worry - thats what mothers do!
