Default Chemical pregnancy at 5 weeks!!!

:( yesterday was not a good day for me and my husband, we where sooooo excited to be pregnant and bring a baby into this world, i even bought a few outfits, got some nappies from my parents-we started collecting :( i started brown spotting yesterday ,went for a scan and found no sac-docter was not even concerned, said its prob too early, i felt like that wasnt enough,so went for another blood test only to see my HCG levels dropped from 96 (a week ago when i found out i was pregnant) to 24 now, putting me in the 1 week after conception area----------- devastated, doc called me and he said its called a chemical pregnancy and it happens to alot of women, most dont even know about it ,cause you period is just late, i got my period early hours this morning!!! i am still so so so sad, it is hard to think about it, but we will just try again.is there anyone out there who has had this and fallen preg again the following month???????please respond and give me some hope, this is really hard to be positive with !!!

it is so devastating to know you had a little bean that didn't make it, but try not to despair. I had a chemical pregnancy, we weren't ttc so i was surprised to find out i was even pregnant, sadly by the time i had gotten use to the idea of there being another baby, i started to miscarry. Becuase we weren't ttc we didn't try again but i still think about my little bean. On the positive side when we did decide to ttc it only took us 4 or so months to get our BFP and she has stuck and giving me alsorts of trouble of now :).

Best wishes and lots of virtual hugs

I'm so sorry. My husband and I went through this in February, after our first IUI and trying to conceive for over a year. It's a painful thing to go through, and I'm sorry you have to.

So sorry for your loss. That is exactly what happened with my first pregnancy. I can't answer about falling pregnant immediately, as my DH and I took time off from ttc after that. But I am about to have my third baby 3 months from now! So as hard as it is, take a deep breath and move forward knowing that it does, unfortunately, happen to alot of women, and they go on to have healthy happy babies.

I am so sorry for your loss, I know how devestating it is. My first baby was concieved after a year and a half of trying and using fertility drugs and we lost him/her at 10 weeks. We took a break from ttc and found out that we were pregnant again about 3.5 moths later. Sometimes miscarriages can reset your system and make you extra fertile.

hi sweetie, i am sorry, your loss got me googling about it, the websites say, try again after 1 regular cycle to get your hormones back in order. it also says that chemical pregnancies happen because theres something wrong with the embryo, so look at it this way, you would want a healthy baby hey. somethings are just meant to be, so chin up, smile, and enjoy married life, and BD every chance you get ;) mwahz xoxoxoxoxo

hi guys, thanks so much for kind words! it is 2 days iv been bleeding for now, and it still feels like a bad dream!!!! i wanted this more than anything else in this world! and im praying that i fall pregnant fast, because i am not sure how long i get disapointed like this for! we have decided not to wait for a cycle, but to try immediately as my doc said it is fine, there is nothing to worry about,i must carry on taking folic acid and go for it, i have heard that i could be extra fertile during this time too,so hold thumbs, will know in about 4 weeks time (long time)!!

to roxanne: did you do blood tests? so happy for you, was thinking of you last night, and how long you have waited too for this, wish we where in it together!!
