Thread: 2006 babies

Elín was born July 13 2006...she will be 5 in July. She is tries very hard to be the boss of the house. Everyday im amazed at how well she talks and understands 2 languages. She enjoys, colouring in, watching cbeebies, cutting and sticking, she is enjoying learning her letters, writting and drawing. She is enjoying nursery and will start school in August 2012.

And now

Serenity is 4 1/2 and has been amazing over the last month or so with everything that's been going on. She has become such a help and seems to have such a caring soul. She brings me her animals to snuggle with, insisting they will make me feel better :) She loves to color and is so good at it too. She's supposed to start pre-k in August, but it's all tentative now. She still has her drama queen moments, but honestly she's never made me feel so proud in my life. Seems so wise beyond her years. Love that kiddo, they sure do keep me strong.

Dalton was born August 2006. He is growing so fast!! He goes to preschool 3 days a week and LOVES it. He has lot of friends but 2 really great friends, Vinny & Mary! So cute! He loves his little sis and helps her any time she needs it. But he and Spencer are like oil and water. a lot of the times they get along fine but a lot of the times HOLY COW! Dalt loves to tease his brother and it's like cats & dogs! Oh well. He really is a loving brother and a great kid. Very polite and caring. He is playing basketball right now with his sis

He will be 5 in June and is quite a big personality We had a lot of trouble with his attention span and with him settling into nursery and then school but the last couple of months we have seen a major difference in him. He is now at school Monday to Friday 9am while 3pm and he finally likes it. He has lots of friends, especially with older boys in the classes above him. He loves dinosaurs and is obsessed with them - he always has been. He is really funny and caring and I am very proud of him. He gets on well with Billy and ADORES Addison - he calls her his little darlin and is forever kissing and cuddling her.

My Lexi wont be 5 until December but here is her update. She is in the advanced 4's in school she is just to smart and they are thinking about sending her to a school for kindergarden early (but i have VERY MIXED feelings as she is still so shy and takes everything personal) she is a sweet girl very concerned about others, and caring beyong her years. She loves to do work books and play her games on the computer, she says she wants to live with me forever so she must not be growing to fast HAHA. She loves her princesses and helping do aNYTHING for noah. She is really a joy in my life.

Gabriella was born March 2006 and started school over a month ago during which time her confidence didn't even take a slight dip - her teacher noted on Day 1 that she is 'rather competitive'! (understatement)
She has the strength and perserverance of a pitbull and will argue that black is white. Physically she is much the same too, she has just taken up rockclimbing and will not let any wall beat her!

Here is an example of a recent conversation we had:

"Gab, what does 'Give Way' mean?"
"It means you give someone else a turn first"
"So if you're not sharing, I can say Give Way to you then?"
"If You say Give Way, I say NO Way!"

Hahaha! Katie your Gab will go far with that attitude! Fab!

My Dan has been a real terror lately. He will argue with you and stomp away shouting. But he's also the sweetest boy ever. Seems most kids are this age, like chalk and cheese!

Yesterday when my ear was really hurting he said to me "I wish there was something to help your poorly ear....... would a hug and kiss make it better?" Bless him :o)

It is a slight pain in the butt now but atitude and confidence like that will do her good as an adult,George is a bit like Gab he is very competitive and will argue black is white,has to always have the last word!!! She sounds fantastic Katie and will need the sassiness to help her in a house with 2 boys!!!
