    Default violent movies.

Okay so I have a huge problem with violence. My issues are 'real life' violence, not bloody gory fake crap. For example tonight we started watching a netflix instant watch movie about the genocide/conflicts in darphor (sp?) and once the bad crap started happening I just had to walk out. They threw a f*n baby on the ground, like SLAMMED it to make a 'point' because the mother tried to sneak it away to save it (they were about to kill the whole village). I started crying and said "I cant watch this". I hate seeing stuff like that because I know it happens way way to often in REAL LIFE. Dh thinks I am weird because its just a movie, and that I should watch because not watching is 'turning a blind eye' on the subject. But I am sorry, I can't sit there and watch that, I KNOW what horrible stuff happens . Is anyone else like this?

I am much more like that since having kids. Not with all violence, but things concerning kids or animals really gets to me.

I cannot stand watching violence.....in any way, shape or form. It doesn't matter to me if it's a movie, documentary or even boxing, wrestling or UFC. I don't understand the Ultimate Fighting Championship at all. Why in the world would someone want to watch two grown men beat the crap out of each other? It makes absolutely no sense to me and I find it disgusting. I am a very passive person when it comes to physical violence and I just do not understand why some people have such a fascination with it. I honestly think that the only time I would ever resort to violence of any sort is if I were defending myself or my family.

I do think its worse since I had Lillie. Dh loves ufc, I think its stupid, but it doesn't 'bother' me. But yeah, I freaking hate movies like the one we saw last night (well I stopped watching 15 min in). They really bother me and when I see something like that the image haunts me for days. I just keep picturing how I would feel if that was my baby . I wish the world wasn't so f*d up

I must admit I don't have a problem with it but don't go out my way to watch it,having said tha some of my all time fav movies are vampire one's so I guess a big bit b gorey, but it is all fantasy type stuff so nothing I could dwell on personally!! I am not into boxing or anything like either and don't see any fascination with people watching it and enjoying it??!!?!? Also not sure how they get away with classing such things as sport either,it is boy's being all macho.

But I think Paige has it the world is so fooked up right now and it is everywhere,I sometimes watch discovery and other documentary channels and if we are not killing each other it is the planet or animals, humanity is one screwed up race!!

I am not a fan of violence either, I prefer comedies and love stories. I will not watch anything where a baby/child is either injured or killed. I watch movies/shows for entertainment and I just don't see how those things are entertainment for anyone. I am the same way with boxing Tracie, I just don't get it either. I feel the same way about football though too.

Images stay with me too so I try to be very careful as to what I watch or read as I lose sleep or can't get the picture out of my head.
