Honestly I would not worry Emma,as long as her diet is healthy otherwise and well balanced.

George is not much of a meat man,he will eat chicken in anyway and sausage, but that is it,although we had a breakthrough the other night with spag bol,he ate 3 mouthfuls of mince,I told him he was a really good boy for trying!!!

I always put meat on George's plate in the hope one day he will eat it!! I don't force him to eat it,just put like two mouthfuls on the plate to encourage him!!

He will eat fish fingers but that is all the fish he eats!!

I'd love him to eat more variety in fish and meat but these arethings Idon't force much really!!

vegetarians manage without, not all vegetarians are veges because of animal issues, some are they just hate the taste etc...

Just put a little mouthful on her plate and one day she may just eat it out of habit of seeing it on the plate!!!!!

She will get iron from cereals and veg etc,the only thing she won't get so much of is protein but....just looked online she can get protein from milk, yoghurt and cheese so that's Ok!!!

We have the same issue. Hannah seems to hate meat! She will eat a little ham (like half a shredded piece of lunchmeat) with cheese in a tortilla - heated like a quesadilla. She will eat hotdogs - I try to use the turkey kind. And sometimes she'll eat porkchops mixed with rice and sauce. *shrug* I, like gouldingclan, try to put some on her plate every meal. She seems healthy, so I try not to worry!

but scampi and salmon fishcakes is fine Emma, thats more fish than alot of toddlers will eat, have you tried salmon steaks as they come or king prawns!?!? I know it sounds a bit extravagant for a 2yr old but they aren't too badly priced right now,if you go to a fishcounter too he can make sure all the bones are gone etc and maybe even do Meg sized portions?!!?

But see she is happy to try it and doesn't worry it is on her plate at all, just keep up that approach, she spits it out never mind!!!!!

As Vicky said, I suppose its not a major issue. But have you tried making "sausages" out of things?

So like mince and onion that you would make meatballs or burgers but do it in the shape of a sausage?

People will always talk about you. Might as well give them something to talk about.
