Thread: Back From Vacation...

Hello Everyone. It feels like I have been gone forever!!! I am back from vacation and honestly I think it probably would've been better had we just stayed home...

We left and arrived in TN saturday and stayed at my brother's new place. I had a blast there, played cards, drank some wine, he has 40+ acres of land in the country. DH ran around on the 4wheeler it was just alot of fun. We woke up to a great breakfast and left for florida soon after. We get there around 4pm sunday check into our hotel and go out for dinner. Dinner was ok and it was beautiful down there. We do some shopping, i get a bunch of new great things and then we settle in for the night. We wake up rather early in the morning, go out for breakfast come back and hit the pool/beach.

Let me start by saying.. I tan pretty easy, well used too.. And if i burnt id burn then turn to tan but never anything bad.. Im one of those people that can lay in a tanning bed with the tingly firey stuff and come out fine...

Little did I know... They had a huge UVRay warning.. I was out there for 2 hours and came in for a break.. It looked like I had been thrown into a hot skillet with cooking oil. I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BURNT. And only on the front of me? So i put on some aloe and decided that the next day i would go out and lay on my stomach for about 40mins to try to get some color.... BIG Mistake...

Not only did i burn on my backside but the very little time my frontside was in the sun it apparently magentically attracted all the UV it could and burnt me worse...

I ended up with what we believe to be sun poisoning. I couldn't move, couldn't bend, laid in bed feeling as if i was dying.. I just cried. I was covered in GUNK of everykind, air hurt to touch me and i was BLOOD red all over (especially the lines of the bikini where i missed with the tanning oil) I was throwing up and I was so tired and nauseous i thought it was the end of the world...

HAPPY 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO US!!!! Goodness.. This lasted until Wed... So the remaining of monday was horrid, tuesday was a disaster and easing into wednesday...

We couldnt go scuba diving, i couldnt go into the sun at all.. Hard to do in 80+ degree cleary SUNNY skies in florida and with everything sticking to me as if i was fly tape so it hurt to put on pants...what a freaking mess...

Needless to say im still red, my arms did turn to tan and my stomach. My back is red, my legs on the front bottom are still BLOOD RED. Nothing hurts anymore but Ive had horrible headaches from it all and Im just bleh...

Good thing.. Nothing on my face so thats a plus... It pretty much ruined our vacation though.. To top it off there were a bunch, i mean 3 bus loads of graduates that just grad from h.s. in louisiana there. I almost got arrested for arguing with the officer because i was so dilusional from the pain but his boss talked to me and noted that the guy was in the wrong so they had a "talk" with him... Good thing...

We left a day early (thursday) stopped in nashville thursday night, i felt better and started to get an appetite back we did some shopping, ate and stayed at a hotel... Let me tell you how expensive this is...

I spent more in nashville in 1 night than i did the whole 5 days in panama... GOOD LORD!

So we got up this morning and came home.. I am SOOOOOOOO glad to be home. Its actually hotter here than florida but i dont have the dangerous UV rays...

So i thought id give an update. DH is waiting on me so Im headed off to bed. Hope to chat soon I miss you all. If theres anything I missed thats big news please feel free to share in this thread.. Its going to take me awhile to catch up!!!
