    I went to see Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy yesterday. I enjoyed it, but my poor DH could barely stay awake! I think reading the book helped a lot. It just didn't translate well to the big screen.

    What movies have you seen lately, and do you recommend them?

    I went to see Bewitched last week and was disappointed. I guess I was expecting a remake of the original but got a pretty light on story line. But I wouldn't say not see it, there were some funny lines. Sam

    Two of the movies that I saw recently were "Schindler's list" and "A beautiful mind". They were beautiful.

    Even though we might not be too significant we all have a part to play in this world and if we could do that part well, I am sure someone will benefit and when we leave, we can be happy that we have left a better place. :)

    Definition of Success

    To laugh often and much;
    to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of the children;
    To earn the appreciation of honest critics, and endure the betrayal of false friends;
    to appreciate beauty;
    to find the best in others;
    to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition;
    to know even one life has breathed easier because you lived.
    This is to have success.

    When I read the lines "to know even one life has breathed easier because you lived.
    ", I was reminded of you Elleth.

    Thank you, Jen.

    I tried to see Bewitched, but it was already only playing late at night. I will rent it when it comes out on DVD.

    I saw Wedding Crashers last week and laughed the whole way through it. Although a bit raunchy, it was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time.

    I'm going to see Stealth today. The critics have rated it very low, and my DH said he thinks it'll be hokey. Even if it's bad, we are going with MIL and FIL, so we'll have someone to share the misery with if we need to.

    Hi , I just saw monster-in-law and thought it was great. Maybe because I could relate on some level to the MIL situation. I love to go to the movies but rarely do at the moment since having the kids. So I really do enjoy the experience when I get to go out with the girls whether it is a bad or good movie. Sam

    Cool Re: Movies

    Hi All

    I too saw Wedding Crashers. I agree with Elleth, it was a little on the raunchy side, but me and my DH laughed through the whole thing! It was so funny, we loved it. It has been a while since we laughed a good laugh in a movie.

    Stealth turned out to be OK, but not the best I've ever seen. We saw Skeleton Key yesterday, and it was the same. It had a lot of potential to be a lot better, but we still enjoyed watching it.

    Watched Ocean's 12 last night and hubby and I thought it pretty good. It was a bit low in places, but entertaining! It is worth getting if you want a night in with hubby (who will surely enjoy it) and some entertainment!

    Watched Hotel Rwanda last week...it was VERY sad, but worth watching. Do not watch if you are a sensitive viewer though...

    And...also watched "meet the fockers" this week...was pretty funny in places, but it is not really my kind of movie, more for the hubby...but we we entertained to say the least.

    By the way, we rent DVD's through the post so that is why we watch so many!!!

    I saw The Great Raid yesterday. I'm not very big on war movies, but I really enjoyed this one. It was a real tear jerker at the end.

    We recently saw Deuce Bigalow 2: European Gigalow which was raunchy but hilarious!! We both loved the first movie, so we had to see the 2nd!
    Also saw War of the Worlds...I liked it (he didn't). It was shocking to see how real the histeria of the public could be in a crisis like that.
