Thread: Question for you women

I wasn't sure where to put this question, and I suppose it's off topic so I just put it in here.
It has to do with my menstrual cycle, and how messed up it's been lately. My last three periods have been crazy. The third (not this one, nor the one before that but the one before that one) lasted two and a half weeks, and then my last one lasted for about one day, and then it came again a few days later and lasted another two weeks, and then now this one has lasted two and a half weeks, and still isn't done. Usually, mine last about 5 days so could there be problems, or is my body just going crazy for some odd reason?

Well I think your body could be going crazy and there cold be something wrong. Abnormal vaginal bleeding is a flow of blood from the vagina that occurs either at the wrong time during the month or in inappropriate amounts. My last period lasted for 2 weeks also so I just waved it off but if it happens again I will be going to the doctor and I would suggest that you go ahead and go.You can never be too careful!!Good luck!!

Okay! Thanks for replying. I'll get to the doctor today. :)
I was considering going to the doctor anyway, but I just wasn't sure if it was something too small or whatever, because I've never really heard of anyone else who has had it. The only time I've heard of someone bleeding was implantation bleeding but I'm not pregnant so I'm not sure, but I'll go get it checked.

Well, I went today. I went to the walk-in clinic but they were WAY too busy so I just went to the ER. She did a vaginal exam as well as blood work, and then she told me to go back tomorrow for an ultrasound. She says she wants to see if it's cysts on my ovaries. That's kinda scary though. Not sure what would happen if that is what it is, but my mom told me that she and my grandma both had that problem, but we will see what happens tomorrow.

Well, they called this morning to let me know the time of my appointment, as the doctor said they would, and it's not until tomorrow! Grrr!
Now I have to go another day without waiting, but tomorrow I'll let you know what happens.
