    Angry Sickened

    At a situation that has happened at my my dd high school...about three or four days ago there were five girls that were "punished" for missing an athletic practice. No big deal right?? Well these girls were forced to do bear crawls on the track that had a temp of 125 degrees that day!! They begged the coach to move them to the grass that their hands were burning and asking for cold water which she refused. All five of these girls have blisters on their hands two of the girls have second and third degree burns...the school has done NOTHING!! Said its not fair to punish her for "bad judgement" if this would have been my child the law would have been called that day! My heart hurts for these girls, and it really worries me that anybody would think this is ok!! Whats your thoughts, if this was your child how would you handle this situation??

    Jeez, that is just terrible. Um...yes, I think we DO punish people for bad judgement. That's what punishment is for, right? Making bad decisions. Ugh. I saw the pics on your FB and it had me livid. I showed them to DH and he was like, "Looks like one coach is soon out of a job." I would have filed a police report for sure. If nothing happened still, I might call the local news, cause that is not right.

    That's crazy! I would have called the police if that was my child. I also would have called the police if I had been a teacher on that staff.

    No doubt the police would have been called the same day. How horrible, yes the coach needs to be punished.

    That is horrible!!! Poor judgement, but still the coach should be penalized somehow. Did s/he even issue an apology??
