Glad she is getting better! It is definitely a difficult thing when they are not sleeping and still screaming! I am glad you guys got to the bottom of it quickly!
Wow! Time FLIES when you have a newborn thats for sure!!! Kylie will be 6 weeks old this upcoming Wednesday. Hard to believe! The past couple of weeks have been such a blur, because we started having all kinds of problems, and finally ruled everything out, and discovered Kylie has a severe case of reflux. We tried Zantac for 5 days with no luck and I also eliminated dairy with no improvement, since I'm exclusively breastfeeding, and now she has been on Prevacid for 2 days and showing a good deal of improvement already.Let me just tell you, going about a week and a half with a baby screaming bloody murder about 20 hours a day, and only sleeping about 15-20 mins at a time every 24 hours is a NIGHTMARE, to put it lightly. We are hoping the Prevacid does the trick and we get our happy baby back!
She is doing GREAT breastfeeding! She is up to 9 lbs now! So she has gained 2 lbs in the past month. Yay!
Hubby and I turned in our notice at our apartments and are looking into moving into a rent house, so that will be exciting!
Anyway, Kylie is doing well and we are getting into more of a routine now, thank God because in the beginning I really thought I was going to die! I had NO idea what I was in for, clearly. LOL. It's all worth it though, for every little smile I get from her, and every sweet little coo we hear when she is happy....loving being a mom despite some of the challenges.
Sorry for not posting as much.....still lurking!
Glad that she is doing much better, I hope that the Prevacid keeps working for her. Good luck with the moving and renting a house, it's nice to have a place separate than with an apartment, especially a yard too. Thanks for the update!!
It sounds like torture to have no sleep and a screaming baby. I hope this phase passes soon. It must be exciting to move to a new place. I totally understand you wanting a "house" versus and apartment. We lived in rental house till H was 3 months old, then moved to an apartment. He was just beginning to walk in the apartment and I suddenly HAD to have a backyard. Well that and the neighbors downstairs were complaining about his footsteps.
Good Luck on the house hunt! You're doing a great job!

Gald to hear something is beginning to work with the reflux! It's super hard with a newborn, I don't think any of us realize what we're in for with our first baby!!
