After you have a baby you can have a period for up to and including 6 weeks.. It should start to be lighter soon!! Congrats on your new baby!!!
Hi ya all.
i know i haven't been on for a while but i have had my bundle of Joy on the 9 th of December at 10 o´clock in the morning by a c-section as she would not move any more down with 7 cm dilated. It was a long labour but she is finally here and is doing wonderfully. Very quiet and eats in 4 to 4 hours. I have to say i am very lucky.
But me being worried is not necessarily with her but yes with me.
I have been having like a period since the birth which is making me kind of worried as i have started the pill for breastfeeding mom's for a week now and i still have this "period" is this good or should i be worried and go to the doc. I only have my appontment marked for the 6 of February but i am worried if this is not good for me? Can anyone help me?!?!?
I have looked on the internet for c-section information and so fourth to see if this is normal but i can't seem to find anything, please help me? I don't know what to do?!?!?!![]()

I also had a c-section and i had my period for about 5-6 weeks. It is pefectly normal. If it does not start to lessen, then call the doc and see about getting an earlier appointment. I am glad your baby is doing well. Aside from the constant yucky period, how are you doing?
Its called lochia and you have it whether you have a csection or vaginal birth. Its just the uterus going back to normal, it will go away. I had my son the day before you had your daughter and have quit bleeding for about a week now. You will be fine.
HI CRYSTAL!!!! Contratulations! I remember you from awhile back and am sooo glad to see you are back and have a happy healthy little girl!!I'm so happy for you!
The bleeding can last quite awhile, as long as it is not too heavy (filling up a pad in an hour) then is should be alright. But as always, if you are not sure, ask your Dr. It's been about 4 - 5 weeks now, so it should be getting much lighter.
How are you feeling? Sounds like you got really lucky w/ your little girl. What is her name? I'm so sorry you had to go through a long labor, but she's here and that's all that matters!
Again CONGRATULATIONS!
Hello Ladies!

Gloria my beloved sister.

Always in my heart.
A long, weary road I travel
Laden with heaviness on my back
Through the mist surrounding me
A kindly hand takes mine firmly
Steadying me
In case I fall
Hearts at rest with each other
Bonded by a higher light
That never fades
I feel the warmth of your hand
Yet you left me long ago
You are with me always
My sister - closer than blood
As the others said Crystal what you are experiencing is perfectly normal. Your bleeding should be over or almost over by the time you go for your 6 week check up. Congratulations again and best wishes.
