    Unhappy Puppy not well

We just found out this morning my beautiful little pup Charlie has Muscular Dystrophy. He is such a beautiful, friendly and outrageously adoring and loyal dog it has just broken my heart!!
Mum noticed he has been losing weight and eating funny, so took him to the vet, then a specialist.
Apparently he is is no pain (bless god) but poor little mite!!
He has been getting lots of TLC, and mind you he's loving the attention!
he has to see a puppy eye specialist (how cute) tomorrow to make sure he isnt going blind!
I am so devastated. He is just my heart and soul xx

Oh Angie, I'm SO sorry to hear about your puppy. What a horrible thing for you and your puppy to go through. Is there anything they can do about it or is it just a matter of time? I hope that the specialist can help him. Poor guy!

    Unfortunately there is no cure
The idea is to treat symptomatically e.g in pain, treat the pain. I believe he is to have normal life expectency, but what a horrible thing to have regardless. No one knows what secondary problems may arise eg blindness etc so all we can do is give him lots of cuddles and keep a close watchful eye on him!
He is DEFINATELY allowed to sleep on the bed now x

Angie, my puppy was like that last year. She started to loose so much weight, OMG she went so thin. She didn't want to eat and didn't want to play. I was so worried, and everything she ate, she would throw up. I have a one year old Boxer, bought her from England, she is my LIFE. Took her to the vet and kept her there for 2 days, longest 2 days of my life!! I cried so much, to come home and see her toys and bed and no puppy!! I was actually home from work, I couldn't work, all I done was cry. The doctor didn't find anything, they have her some medicine and special food. Come to find out she had the flu. Yeah, they get the flu too!! But I sure hope and pray your puppy gets better. Puppies are strong, and he will get through this.
