Great news! It has been a good week!
Yesterday, after I got Austin out of the bath I told him - "now, no peeing on the floor Austin." Usually...he would ignore me and if need be pee (to my frustration!). So I run into his bedroom to get his night shirt and Jillian runs up to me and says Austin's in the toilet. I run out thinking he's IN (literally) the toilet because he's done that before (months ago, but actually has stood in the toilet). I come to the bathroom...and there my little man is sitting on the toilet! He exclaims "I'm a WINNER" and then pees!Of course I burst out with a whole bunch of praise...picked him up and swung him around - had him giggling really good! He was so proud of himself...and I was thrilled! I just didn't know if he did this just once or was FINALLY wanting to try potty training. We tried with him for a few months but I never even got one dribble out of him on either the big potty or the little potty we got for him. He flat out told me NO...no potty just 2 weeks ago.
Welp...I am proud to say - he's been using the potty ALL DAY TODAY! When I put a pull up on him, he had an accident...???...but without the pull up he's been 100%! So I guess what I'll do is go out and get regular boy panties and try that maybe tomorrow. I want to give him another day or two just getting used to running to the bathroom & of course getting tons of praises. I so wanted him to be out of diapers before his baby brother is born...this may actually happen! What a great week I am having (wonderful ultrasound, my daughter's academic scores were excellent - she tested at high K to first grade levels and she's only going to Kindergarten, and now Austin used the potty)...!!!
