What age is the right age to have FB?

well, i think shes prob just about old enough, if there is infact an age for facbk.
Id give her a list of rules, one of them being you have to be her friend on there and you reserve the right to delete any problematic mates on there, lol...

I'd be very very careful with it, but just do what makes you comfortable. ITs hard to control photos, I would absolutely bnd any and all photos, and you would have to know the password yada yada yada....

Well, talked to DH about it this morning and I think we will go ahead and get her started with one. Going to make all info private and only put a pic of her for her profile right now, then we'll see about adding more later. I'll be in charge of her password and info and will check it regularly to make sure they are behaving appropriately. I guess it's just time, kids have a lot more at their disposal and it's getting more and more as time goes on. We have decided it's best to teach them how to use social networking responsibly at a younger age then waiting and letting them find out in a bad way later. Although, who knows what the teenage years will bring!

I have JUST let my 16yr old get an FB. There are rules. She does not add anyone she does not know. Some dude from another country tried to add her.. she added him. I asked her how she knew someone from that country and she said she didn't so I laid it down there and then. NEXT time, your account is GONE.

In addition I now have all her friend requests come to MY email.

haha sammy, your doing the right thing though, it was only this morning i was watching 'this morning' and it was about peado's on the net! we as adults know better, so i think the net is OK with our xpertise and supervision..as we spot the weirdo's miles off, and younger, more innocent children dont.
