Good morning!
I am just over five weeks pregnant and it seems that my pregnancy symptoms come and go. I was telling my mom last night that I don't 'feel' pregnant and yet I don't feel like myself. I feel lathargic and like I am fighting a cold (without any cold symptoms). I find that my pregnancy symptoms really come and go. One day I have to pee a lot. Another day I feel nausious in the evening. Some days I'm exhaugsted. Today I have a headache. Is this happening to any of you? Of course, because this is my first pregnancy, I instantly worry and think 'Oh no, my symptoms are gone. There must be something wrong!' But then, a symptom comes back. Anyone else? Angela |

Congratulations!!! You are incredibly NORMAL!! Most of my symptoms were like that as well. I called them "Phantom" symptoms. They became more consistant around week 6, and lasted (for me) until about week 10. Except for the tiredness. That just left me around week 13. It can be quite different for a lot of people, but I think what you are going through could be considered very "normal" for early pregnancy. I sure hope it doesn't get too bad for you though!!

I agree with Kari!......Very nornal!! If its not, then I also have something to worry about!!
My body does the same thing angela, and everytime I didnt feel symptoms I would freak thinking Id had a mc. I dont stress about it now, because I know they will come back. Im also getting morning sickness now at nights, which sounds silly, but makes me feell better knowing everything is ok! Dont fret!! |

Thanks girls for responding and reassuring me.
Angie, I too seem more nausious in the evening than in the morning. I think it's actually a blessing because we can at least sleep it off. We have really close due dates so it will be fun to compare notes. Kari, good luck with your pregnancy. It's nice getting words of encouragement from those that are further along. Angela |

Hi Angela,
I can definitely agree with what everyone else is saying. My symptoms come and go, too. I go to the doctor for the first time tomorrow, so I can't wait to ask a ton of questions. I hit the 6 week mark today, so I'm feeling very happy about that - I just wish I felt better. Keep us updated on your next doctor visit. Your first doctor visit sounded just awful. Should that woman really be doing that for a living? Sounds like she doesn't have much of a bedside manner. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. Nicole |

Angela....I agree about morning sickness at night. Its probably the best time to have it, although I dont sleep particularly well as I wake 2 or 3 times through the night feeling terrible. Im then even more tired through the day, but its always gone by the morning again.
NICOLE......GOODLUCK at your appointment tomorrow. I hope all goes well and make sure you let us know how you go!! Mine isnt for another 3 weeks and I cant wait!!!! |

Hi Angela, Nicole and Angie, I agree with you about the morning sickness. Mine is more like an afternoon and night time sickness. Which is very hard when you are tired and feel sick to run about after 3 energetic boys and try to cook dinner!! Needless to say a couple of nights this week we have had take out. I have found having an early shower in the evenings has helped a little to perk me up and help me to relax.
Nicole best wishes at your first appointment and I hope all goes really well. My next appointment in on Monday and I will be 8 weeks then. Can't wait.

Welcome to pregnancy!! you never know what your body is up to it seems. Sometimes its just funny, I had lost all symptoms around 4 months and so had to go buy the nursery items and decorate. Made me feel like I was actually pregnant again.
Congratulations! |

Angela, I know what you mean about the symptoms coming and going, as well. Mine are doing that now and I am 5 weeks. My last pregnancy I had symptoms from the beginning and up until I lost it. Now, I have had nausea and some cramping, but that's it. My breasts aren't even sore this time. It's really strange to me, too. But, I guess every pregnancy is different, though, huh? I feel confident about this pregnancy though, even though I have very few symptoms so far, but there's plenty of time to have more! :)

Definately Jenn, all my pregnancies have been different. Each journey is individual as it should be for the precious child you are carrying. That makes them who they are!
